Labuan, Malaysia — 21st May 2025 — EDM Global Tech Sdn Bhd proudly announced its role as an official sponsor and mentor at MarineHack 2025, a national-level maritime technology hackathon hosted at the Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) Labuan International Campus. MarineHack 2025 brings together tech innovators, students, and industry partners to address real-world challenges in the maritime sector.
MarineHack 2025 — themed “Navigating Tomorrow: Smart Solutions for a Sustainable Maritime Industry” — ran as a multi-stage nationwide competition that culminated in an in-person finale in Labuan, drawing talented students from universities throughout Malaysia. The event focused on developing cutting-edge digital solutions using AI, IoT and Big Data analytics to support sustainability, safety, operational efficiency, and environmental monitoring in the maritime domain.
As part of its commitment to developing future maritime technology leaders, EDM Global Tech’s expert team provided mentoring support to participating teams throughout the hackathon. EDM’s mentors offered technical guidance, industry insights, and hands-on advice in areas such as:
